Ever since I installed the latest version of Windows Media Player (version 11) on my laptop, its been unable to play any sounds at all. Whenever I try to play any music it says:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly"
I can't think of anything I can do to fix it, and I really don;t know what I'm doing with computers most of the time.
Can anyone please help in nice simple words I can understand?

I had a similar problem but with Microsoft Word. When I downloaded it onto my laptop it wouldn't pick up wi fi anymore. I called the company and they told me to go into the start menu and then type in system restore. When I did this it restored all my default(s) without hurting or erasing any of what I had downloaded and it my wi fi works now. Good luck!

System restore will take you back to a working set up, but try Adnan's suggestion, because it is a big improvement on 10.
