Couldn't be overtly religious--that's theocracy, nor too young, too old to do the job or too full of bad postmodernist-right-wing ideas.

Paul Newman. He gives away so much to charity, been married to the same woman forever, and he has lots of character. I don't know his political views but how he is in his personal life makes him a winner in my book!

I would say Denzel. He's never been involved in scandal, he's always doing something charitable, he has a good background, he has charm, charisma, and he's a decent man.
