It's only on 35 screens in the whole country right now. They are going to slowly put it into wide release, with more screens added weekly.

I saw the film last week, and it's wonderful.

I wonder the same thing about some movies. I live in Nashville and I waited and waited for "Lars and the Real Girl" to come here, but it never did. I'll have to wait for the DVD I guess. I guess we're just not one of the lucky cities. I don't know!

i think becuase its not a typical american film. it has subtitles and its about afghanistan so they want to see how it does in the 30 theatres its going to be released in. If it does well then it may have a larger release

it's not playing in my local theater either :(
so i have to go out a little farther
it should
it's one of the most phenomenal, touching, greatest books i've ever read!!
i hope the movie brings justice
