When i took out the key, the contact lights were still lighting and the engine was working. I turned the engine off but not the contact lights. I tried to start ignition of the engine, but the key was just turning inside and nothing happened. Any help is very welcome. Thanx a lot!

As long as the key still unlocks the ignition its a dead easy job to replace the barrel.
You will need to get a new lock barrel from Audi (£50). Then remove the plastic covers from the steering column, inset the key and turn the key to the normal running position. Looking at the top of the barrel you will see a small round hole, this hole is duplicated on the bottom of the barrel. Place a small screw driver in the top hole, another in the bottom and push both in. If you then pull on the ignition key the whole lock barrel will come out.
Ja.

You'll need to remove the lower part of the dashboard, under the steering wheel, to gain access. Sometimes the electrical part of the switch separates from the mechanical (key part) of the switch. You may even need to remove the steering wheel, but you won't need a wheel puller to do it. Good Luck!!!!
