My wife and I took a month long camping trip across the U.S. -- we actually got married during that road trip. On the night we got married, we didn't have anywhere to camp, so we had to sleep in the car on the side of a desert mountain road. After about an hour, we got pissed at eachother because neither wanted to sacrifice some leg room. I ended up sleeping on the ground outside the car. I didn't think about it at the time, being from Chicago, but I could've easily been killed by rattlesnake(s), which tend to come out more at night, and being the Nevada desert, we were 2 hours from civilization.

Yes! My dad's the kind of person that would say "OK, here comes the road we have to take. Almost there... (He then looks down the road that he was speaking of AS WE DRIVE RIGHT PAST IT!) Yep, that was the right road all right." Then he has to find a place to turn around so he can get on the road that he knew he had to get on the first place!!! Who does that?!

I actually miss those times, though they did drive me crazy at the time. One time we were fantasizing about buying one of the million dollar RV's we'd see on the side of the road and my brother said "There's us one!" and my other brother made fun of him because he said it so fast it sounded like "There's a swan!" so for the next two hours he mocked him saying "There's a swan, there's a swan."
...I guess I don't miss them that much.
