I was thinking on the same lines on hearing the news today. What makes the British government think it can surrender the personal affairs of its citizens to the US to mange, without first being open and asking their permission to do so.

Has the British government relinquished its ability to manage the affairs of its citizens? And does It feel it must always remain diligent as it steadfastly succumbs to the wishes of the US to intrude more and more into the personal lives of UK citizens?

This is very serious and I shudder to think what we will find out next. The mind boggles!

How else is the CIA and the FBI to obtain details of potentially dangerous UK citizens if it cannot have access to documents containing the names and addresses and also telephone and e-mail details of such people?

In 2006 Geo.W.Bush wrote the law of Habias Corpus out of the statute books of he USA. This means that any American or a Briton for matter, can now be arrested and held without trial.

It just gets worse....

Its because this stupid government tries to save money on the wrong things.
If you want something to work you have to SPEND money.

If they think I am going to trust them with the information for an ID card they have an other thing coming.
NO WAY.

Great question. Now, not only does someone have me and my partners NI details, full names, dates of birth, child tax credit numbers, child's name, full address and other information, they also have my wife's driver number. I shall be watching my bank account very, very closely thanks to Labour. Honestly, you couldn't make this up. And still no-one will resign. Who was it said 'the lunatics have taken over the asylum...?'
