And Would Mitt and Huckabee and their supporters be protesting the unfairness of that line of questioning in that case?

The religion of the candidate should not matter. It is Republicans who have decided it has, and now they must lie in the bed they made.

Both have been clear that religious views shouldn't be an issue for candidates, and I've seen nothing to indicate they would flip-flop if a candidate were Satanic or Wiccan. In my own view, its an absurd line of questioning and while I differ with both men politically I applaud them on this particular issue.

It is my opinion that religion should not play a part in who is elected, but if it came to it I would rather have a Wiccan in the White House than a bible thumping Fundie!

I would consider that bigoted but I doubt many would agree with me. The religious beliefs of someone are their personal matter and no one should question that.

I try to refrain from answering questions like these so they don't get credence. But really a Satanist?? Think that one through. That's based on evil. And they are dominated by the worship completely.

I don't understand why religion is an issue at all. Religion is a matter of personal belief, and everyone is entitled to their own opinoin.

I am concerned with their experience, their vision, their plans for America.

I dont think Mitt or Huckleberry are really all that virtuous, just 2 politicians who play the God card as they see politically expedient.
