I have many gifts to wrap and I don't want to spend more than a minute or so on each one.

Use gift bags as much as possible - you just throw in tissue paper and drop the gift in - voila! You can get cheap ones at dollar stores, walmart, and places like Party City.

Larger gifts you will have to wrap, but if it's large clothing that needs a box you can get boxes that have decor on them and just tape them shut and place a bow on them. Other items you may have to wrap.

Big items that can go either way (say, a small bike) - they have large gift bags for this as well.

Next year, wrap as you buy and it won't be as overwhelming.

If you hate wrapping, the alternative is to buy holiday boxes or bags.

With boxes, you put the gift inside, and simply tape the box shut. They have what looks like gift wrap paper on the outside as a pattern and often has a tag section to fill out, so it does not need to be wrapped.

With bags, the gift is placed in the bag usually surrounded by glitter paper or tissue paper, and the tag is attached by a string to the bag. These are great for gifts that are in an odd shape, and the receiving person can use the bag for a gift next year (or you can always ask for the bag back if they plan to throw it out).

Be prepared though...gift bags and boxes tend to be more expensive than using wrapping paper, scotch tape, and bows. But it is certainly less time consuming.

The only thing I would avoid is putting a gift in a bag that has an open top if you have "curious" people in the house. It is just too easy and too tempting for kids (and some adults) not to look in the bag to see what the gift is, instead of waiting for Christmas.

Well, you can take them all to a gift-wrapping center, but the usually have a limit or a price. Your best bet is to buy a pack of assorted gift bags and a pack of white tissue paper. Loosely wrap each item in a paper, put it in an appropriatly sized bag, and stick another peice of paper on top for decoration. Usually, gift bags have a pre-attached tag for the names.

For any large gifts, you can buy a few oversided bags. They're more expensive, but they're basically like big garbage bags with a Christmas print. Tie the top up with a ribbon, and add a tag.

If you have any clothing, you can buy gift boxes with a pattern on top. That way, all you have to do is lay a peice of tissue paper in the bottom, lay in the folded peice of clothing, fold the edges of the paper over it, and put the lid on. I always add a peice of tape to two opposite sides, to make sure the lid stays on. Plain white boxes are cheaper, but you have to wrap them in paper and that will overrun your one minute objective!

Personally, I think you're nuts! Wrapping the presents is my favorite part of the Christmas season. I do mine, my moms, my grandmas, my dads, my sisters, my brothers, and my husbands! If you're in my area, I'll glady do yours, too!

Originally Christmas presents were all wrapped in brown paper. Somewhere along the line it changed. You can go simple and do brown shipping/wrapping paper. You can do that and add Christmas stickers. To me that is the least expensive.

The route I take when I'm in a hurry is to do the gift bag thing. tissue paper is cheap.

Heck... I've even wrapped gifts in tissue paper. YOu just need a few layers and tape. Very cheap.

If you don't want to spend the time wrapping I suggest gift bags but if you want to save the money I would do wrapping paper. It may be easier if you wrap the small presents and just get gift bags for the large presents. That way you are saving time and money together. I hope this helped. :0)

Bags. You can find decorative holiday bags in 99-cent stores, discount stores, greeting card or stationery stores, or party stores. Put tissue paper around or on top of the gift within the bag. Have fun!

I would get a nice hat box, put the gift inside and then after she opens the gift she can use the box for storage later.
