The correct answer is B.

Starch and Proteins are both polymers. As you may recall, polymers are composed of smaller monomers bonded together. The question is refering to the fact that Starch is a polymer consisting of the basic monomer unit glucose. Then it asks you the monomer of proteins. If glucose makes up starch then what makes up proteins? The correct answer is Amino acids. You should probobly know that Amino Acids are the building blocks of proteins. You were on the right track, and i hope this helps.

Glucose can through a channel protein, as they are too big to fit through the cell surface membrane on their own. Not sure about the others though.
