Yes you can. You can cast your own using wheelweights or pure lead alloyed with tin. You can add gas checks to certain models (they are small copper cups) This will enable velocities of over 2000 feet per second, as long as you use a decent bullet lube. You can construct your own jacketed bullets using tools from Corbin. These tools are a bit pricey though. If you want to get fancy, you can go into paper patching the bullet. That is what they used to do for some of the buffalo guns. As long as you follow the safety guidelines as set forth in the reloading manuals (which you MUST have), you can tailor your ammo to do what you wish.

Those bullets probably cost less than a penny apiece. They are mass produced and bought in bulk and would be pretty cheap. It is a waste of ammo and it is dangerous. People have been killed by bullets falling from the sky. It also makes the shooter look pretty stupid. However, I guess it makes them happy to do it.

Thought the same thing, poverty ridden countries, armed to the teeth driving four by fours. T.E. Lawrence (of Arabia) remaked that it drove him mad the way the tribesmen shot their weapons in the air. The bullets dropped back down, killing people!

The people with the bullets aren't the people who have to worry about money. It's the people catching them that have the problems.

they are freebies!!!
The armies or the people shooting the guns are always well fed, its the ordinary people who starve - wonder why that is?
