If you had not admitted you not knowing anything about computers I'd say "OMG you cant figure that out?!" but since you did say that ill be kind and show you the way. Click on the G in the search box, then select manage, On the top of the little window switch to features, now click on the top button called "search box settings", now uncheck the second and third checkboxes, click "ok" in the little window, and then click "Apply" and after that "OK" in the larger window behind it( If you can always click "apply" before you do "ok".).

In Mozilla Firefox just right click in the search box and uncheck "show suggestions".

That was pretty much it!

Good luck, and gimme that best answer tag! ^_^

It does that to help you, by not having to type in the thing you've asked previously over again. Go to 'tools'> 'Browser options'>'clear search'. That gets rid of it but it will start over again! Don't worry about it, it's not a problem.

Hi,

This I believe is the correct answer, hopefully.

On your browsers right hand side on the toolbar you should see the word "settings" click on that then select options from the drop down window.

Then you will see "Search box settings" in there you can turn of suggestions from your history and turn of suggestions.

Hop[e that solves the problem.

Okay, go to the control panel for the Internet, in Internet Explorer its "Internet Options," > Content Tab > Auto Complete Settings. Then uncheck all the boxes. Then you never have to delete them like all answers above.

It is in your history files, supposed to be a nice feature for quicker searching, but a hassle if you are looking up naughty things.

To clear it each time you want, open up internet explorer and click on Tools, then internet options, and delete history, temp files, we form information. If you want you can delete your passwords and cookies too.

Its all in the options :) good luck!

I don't think you can turn it off. It's built into the code for Google Search Engine to do that.

If you're using Firefox, it could be a Google Add-on that is doing this.

In your browser click on Tools and then click on Add-Ons or Manage Add-ons and look for anything that says Google and disable it.

That might help.

i dont think you can but you can delete the browsing history by going to the internet and pressing tools in the top right hand corner and then press internet options and it will say browsing history press delete and it will give you some more options then click delete browsing history.

Well, there should be a thing on the right that says Preferences. Search there and it won't pop up anymore.
