You should try to talk to him first. If you don't succeed, don't give up on him, encourage him to talk to someone about it before it gets out of control, such as a councelor or find a group. If that doesn't work and you see that this is the lifestyle he wants to lead, I would look into both of you deciding on different living arrangements. I dont know whether you should move or he should move, depending upon if there is a lease or if it is your place or his. I definitely wouldn't live in that situation if he is into drugs and pills. Things are only going to get worse. I would first let him know that you are concerned and would back him in his decision to get help, but tell him that if he isn't willing to accept your help and get past the drug abuse, the living situation has to change. If you can't get anywhere with him on deciding on living arrangements, I would speak with the landlord on how to change the situation for the best. Drugs can also make people do things that are not usually something that they would do. If he is a violent person or if he is not, but when confronted about the problem, he seems to get hostile, I would seek outside help. Its not worth it for you to get hurt for trying to better your situation. I hope that things work out for both of you but especially for you.

Get out, before he steals your stuff, your identity or your credit cards; invites someone else in who steals your stuff or identity or credit cards; or gets you in trouble with the law. You can't help him. You can't. You could only help him if he wanted to be helped. It's a hard lesson that many loved ones of drug addicts have had to learn.

Talk to him and try getting him some help. If it doesn't work out, kick him out or move. You don't want to be an accessory to the fact.

Talk to him about it. Find out what is going on that is causing him to do it. Everyone has a reason.... Explain to him that if he doesn't stop or get help that you are going to move out because you do not approve of his behavior.

Depends on how close you are with this roommate and if you are sure about your information. Call his family and get them involved. It is not your job to oversee his life. But it is your life you are placing at risk.
Help to fix it or remove yourself.

Tell him to cut it out NOW or one of you have to leave the apartment. He probably won't stop. So do what you have to do. Kick him out or you leave.
