I was wondering if I was having a misscarriage would I bleed continuously??? It's weird the day before yesterday I was active in the day, doing stuff, going places on the busses etc. all day no bleeding, got home took a nap and then took a walk too walgreens about 5 minutes away. A little while after I returned home I started bleeding not heavy enough to soak a pad. It slowed down pretty quickly and then 20 minutes later started again and there was one little tiny black clot, then it was ok for the rest of the night and the next day. Then yesterday I took it easy and nothing all day, I took a walk to another apt. where a friend lives and when I returned I was bleeding again and also one little clot but nothing heavy. It stopped and nothing for the rest of the night and nothing so far today. I tried calling the doctor at my obgyn office and she's not in today. I havent gone to the hospital because the bleeding isn't heavy and it stops and isn't continuous. Does anyone know whats up??

you should still go to the ER. if it was light spotting I would not worry, but this sounds a little heavier and it sounds like you defiantly need to get checked out! here is some info that may help strait from the book what to expect
when a miscarriage is threatened there is usually light bleeding, which becomes heavy and is accompanied by crampy lower abdominal pain, which may come and go. When a miscarriage is actually taking place there is generally the passage of embryonic material in the blood.
Ectopic pregnancy, signs include brown vaginal spotting or light bleeding intermittent or persistent, accompanied by abdominal and or shoulder pain, ofter quite severe.
I hope this helps best of luck to you!!

This really all depends on how far along you are. If you are early, like 5 or 6 weeks, I would say it sounds like a miscarriage, especially with the black clot. If you are far along, a miscarriage would be a lot heavier bleeding and painful.
In ANY event, exercizing/walking/ heavy activity is NOT advised once you start bleeding- even if you only bleed a little bit. Any doctor would advise you to be on bed rest for a couple of days and to take it very easy. I would go to the E.R. if I were you so that they can do an ultrasound to make sure everything is OK with the baby & it's heartbeat and all. Good luck.

How far along are you? I had lots of bleeding like that and even filled a pad once in my first trimester. Went to the doctors and had ultrasounds and everything was fine. You should get it checked out.

If this was me, I'd just know in the back of my mind that everything is OK.. and would try to stay calm & limit my activities A LOT.. and go to the ER as soon as I can to confirm that everything is OK. =)
Hope you're doing well!

Go to the E.R. Don't feel guilty about it (if it turns out to be nothing - if you're not having cramps, it's usually nothing, but......) But go to the hospital and get checked out. It's probably nothing, but best to have it checked out.

it's possible.. or you could have a blood clot.. which i actually have now.. and so far the blood clot is not affecting the pregnancy... technically this would classify as an emergency so i would have your doctor paged if he/she is not in
