Both my grandfathers; and Frank Sinatra, like :-
a man was in a restaurant in Los Angeles with friends some years ago and they were all name-dropping like mad, Marilyn Munroe and Elvis, etc. Suddenly he sees Frank Sinatra get up from a table and go to the gents.
He quickly follows him in and says, Hello Mr.Sinatra, I'm a great fan of yours, and Frank says, Gee, that's nice to know. And the man explains his problem at the table, that he knows no-one famous and all his friends do. Frank sympathises.
Then theman say, Mr.Sinatra, can you do me a really big favour? Frank says, Of course Mac, what is it? The man says, let me go to my table and you come along in 2 minutes and say, Hello Bill, how're you doing? Frank says, No problem for a fan.
The man goes back to the table and in a pause in the conversation, says, Well I know Frank Sinatra extremely well. All the others laugh and the conversations carry on. " minutes later Frank Sinatra walks up to the table, claps the man on the shoulder and says, Hello Bill, how're doping? The man turns round and replies, Piss off Frank. Can't you see I'm busy?

Kurt Cobain or Jim Morrison. Both musical geniuses, both interesting people and both dead long before I even started listening to their music. But they're still amazing and it would have been cool to have met either one of them.
