Your additional details lead me to believe that you have your mind made up already.
Now let me point out to you just a few huge news outlets that aren't "ignoring" the story:
The LA Times
The Associated Press (I read it on the wire just this morning)
USA Today
Reuters
Any paper or news organization the subscribes to one of the major wire services will have the option of running the story. It's already appeared in countless local papers (all of which appear in the most basic Google News search, if you're so inclined).
I suspect you're watching CNN or Fox or MSNBC and deciding that they represent the entirety of the news media. This is a common misconception.

Look at the FACTS! How much has his poll ratings increased as he has raised all this money? In cause you don't know - less than 5%.
Fine! Ignore me! You are also ignoring the FACTS!
BTW, the fact that Paul has raised money and has a blimp did make the national news.

To all supporters of Ron Paul put your vote where your money is on election day. You say he had such a hugh support on the internet, then if every supporter voted for him it certainly would make a big difference in the general election if bush allows us to have one.

Well I heard about it on the radio this morning (Boston's WEEI) - so not all the media are ignoring it.

Because he's a threat to the status quo.
The ruling party is divided into Republicans and Democrats, but they differ very little except the color of their jerseys (red and blue).
The media exists to try to scare the left into voting for a candidate they don't like, and scare the right into voting for a candidate they don't like, in order to keep most of the votes inside the ruling bloc.

If they acknowledged the funds then they'd have to acknowledge his popularity and viability among the candidates...they don't want to have his 'message' put on the table. And the media is not the only ones..the other candidates don't want him heard either.
