My xbox was working fine, when it was plugged downstairs, then i took it to my room and it started flashing 4 orange lights. It's NOT the 3 red lights of death, its just flashing 4 orange lights. I took it downstairs again and it still didnt work...Pls help...and i just bought a new game = /

I don't think there's such a thing as orange lights. To my knowledge they are either red or green. You are probably seeing 4 red lights. That means something is wrong with the A/V cable. Make sure it is completely plugged in at both ends.

Edit- Neo X's answer below is not correct. Follow the link he gives. That light is the light on the power supply (the big grey brick in the power supply cable). That is not what's going on here.

Sounds like hardware failure like the other guy said, however it may be related to the power supply given to it. Have you checked the power brick attached to the power cord and seen if the light on it was flashing? Your best option would be to call Microsoft and follow their instructions. *EDIT* It might be the disc reader too... Hmm.

I think it is just a warning. Just be careful and find out some more about it, and don't play anymore until you find out what to do because you could get the red ring of death.

That means there is a problem with your system and needs to be attended to immediatly the next thing to come is the red rings or death.

that happens to me sometimes that just means the xbox is not standing or sitting straight

It means that the console was turned off "illegaly". So just disconnect the consoles wires and then retry. If not retry here

check all your connections, it probably just means your connections aren't connected
