The cheapest is a Hot Head with MAPP gas, about $50 to work in soft glass.
The best is a Minor torch with propane and oxygen at about $130 for the torch and about $200 more for the O2 & Propane tanks, regulators, hoses, etc. which will allow you to keep going to bigger soft glass (1" solid or more) and for hard glass (borosilicate=Pyrex).
