I have two dragons a boy and lil girl. we keep the crickets in a different bucket, then we will toss them a few at a time till they are gone.

That all depends on the substrate you are using.

HOPEFULLY you are not using sand. I'm sure you've heard that it can cause impaction and eventually kill you dragon.

BUT, if you are keeping him on sand [WHICH I'M SURE YOU'LL CHANGE AFTER THIS]

Then yes, you should feed him in a different tank.

If you're using something like a reptile carpet [which i HIGHLY recommend] or paper towels or newspaper, then no. You can just toss in some crickets and let him eat in his own tank.

Usually during feeding, i will take out the plant & log half from his tank.

Just so he has more room to hunt & the crickets wont hide under anything.

It's not particularly better one way or the other...just whatever suits you best.

I feed mine in a separate bin because there's too many places for crickets to hide in her home!!

But if you don't have as much stuff in there, or if you use worms, then feeding in her viv shouldn't be a problem!

And take into mind what the previous poster said about sand....you shouldn't feed her on the sand as she might ingest some and cause impaction.
