There simply was no excuse for losing to those pathetic Eagles yesterday at home regardless of Romo's bad day.
Wade should have lit a fire under his team during half time. It would appear he didn't. They team came out with the same laid back attitude.
Had that been J.Johnson or Parcells you can bet a few people would have got torn a new one you know where.
Now homefield advantage is at stake here and this team can't afford any more breakdowns.
Can he motivate this team folks?

kknumber - Are you kidding? Everyone needs a good kick in the a@@ sometimes to stay focused. Why do you think Bellichick has always got his finger on the pulse of his team? He doesn't believe in cruise control.

Some of you read into words that aren't even there. I did not say Phillips should be a firery coach in the locker room. am stating he should fire up his team when need be and yesterday was one of those times. Dallas is better than 6 points and they know it.

Wade Phillips is the Jerry Jones puppet that Bill Parcells wouldn't be. If you know anything about Jerry Jones, that pissed off Jones more than anything at Parcells wouldn't kiss is a** 24-7.
Jason Garrett does all the meaningful coaching anyway.
Wade Phillips is a coordinator, head coach he is not. Ask Buffalo, Atlanta, Denver and his dad. He doesn't have the testicular fortitude to be a head coach.

While the Cowboys were winning games no one mentioned him as a bad coach, now everyone is jumping on him,the truth is, he's neither a bad coach nor a great one,he took a team Bill Parcells assembled and took it to the next level, but it's Bill Parcells the main reason why the Cowboys are where they are,in spite of what Terrell Owens says,if Wade Phillips doesn't start to kick some butts, the Cowboys will lose any left over disipline that Parcells instituted in the team

Don't read too much into it. Romo is the pivot of the offense, if he's having a bad day the whole team will be off. Dallas will be back in form next weekend and hand someone a shellacking.
I think the mistake Phillips made was not pulling Romo when he said his thumb was hurt.

i think he can i have to admit i like Wade Phillips. I do agree that if Pacrells was still coach he'd tear them to peaces and i like that about him. but the thing that i like about Wade is he is one of few coaches that show emotion to his players. Hes not a afraid to smile when we're doing good and get on someone a** when we're doing bad. unfortunatley he didnt no neither yesterday and i dont have an answer for that i dont know what happened. But i like how he handles his team i mean look at it from this point of view. Every one gets a long (TO lol), there is no tension between players or coaches which is critical of you dont have a good team cause they cant relate or click with eachoher. but the big one...he took a 5 time superbowl winning team and for the first time ever coached them to their first 12-1 record. Thats never been done with the cowboys regardless all those supserbowls. I think he'll light the fire in his team and we'll see it on Saturday.

The Cowboys last loss to the Pats didn't break them, it actually made them play better. I think this loss was just another wake up call, and they now have something to play for in the last 2 games. there's a reason division rivals play eachother twice in the season. And there's a reason each team plays 16 games in the season. You win some, you lose some, the game goes one and the Boys will be fine come Saturday.

This team limped into the playoffs last year under Parcells and were dumped in the first round. Being "fiery" in the locker room doesn't guarantee victories. The Cowboys barely lost to a division rival on one of the worst days of Romo's career. He'll bounce back, and the Cowboys will be just fine.

Wade is not a good coach. Sorry but he is not going to be the answer going forward. Even though it worked, going for it on 4th down yesterday was the wrong call. He will get worse as the playoffs roll around and will make more bad calls.
He is not capable of being a long term head coach and never will be. He is doing fine for now because the team responded to a lighter atmosphere after Parcels, but Wade is too much a player caoch and in the end he will fail.

Wade is not a head coach, great coordinator but he has never been a good leader, that's gonna be trouble for the Boys when they have to face some diversity.

If he would quit staring at Jessica Simpson, and put his drink down...
He's never been a fire and brimston kind of coach. He's always very calm, sedate...
His skill will be in making adjustments, more on the defensive side of the ball. Jason Garrett needs to sprout some horns and be the bad cop.

motivate? you are acting as if one loss has caused the cowboys to lose its edge. cmon bro, they dont need motivation, this is only their 2nd lose of the season. If a 12 -2 team needs a motivation, then thats plain rediculous. i think you need to chill out because i dont think anyone with the cowboys organization is looking for something to put a fire in this team.
