What is your favorite Petstore and why? And which one do u think is the worst?

I will go to any that do not sell puppies, except those for adoption from shelters.

I actually work at Petsmart now.. and really enjoy it there.. I remember the first one I ever went to I was less than impressed.. (the animals were a bit sickly.. I heard they didn't treat sick animals.. etc.) However, things have changed (this isn't the same location either..)... one example is the small animals.. not only are they healthy.. but they are handled.. (employees go over on breaks, or when it's slow and walk around with them.. ) I have watched the manager take sick animals to the vet.... and I've asked many questions since I started, and the others really do know what they are talking about.. (I'm still learning, as it's only been 2 weeks)
Now, Petco is decent from what I can tell.. (not working there I can't say for sure).. However, my first rat was bought there and I can say for sure that it was sick.. It died young from complications from a respiratory infection that it had from the day I bought it.. (I had been bringing it to a vet since it was sneezing a lot).. and the girl that got him out of the tank when I bought him tried picking him up by the tail.. (this was my first rat and I knew better than that) It took weeks of "training" to get it comfortable with handling.. She helped me pick a cage and told me that he would not outgrow it. (he outgrew the cage in less than 2 weeks).. Pretty much EVERYTHING she told me was wrong.. Now.. I don't know if this was a fluke or if it really is just the company.. and don't wish to badmouth them in any way.. this was my experience with them however.
We had a local store that was great.. It was called Fish and Friends.. I liked it there as well.. but they closed down during this year.. (They put a lot of money into moving to a new location.. and then like 2 weeks later they closed down for good)

Hello,
We do not have a pet shop out here. Once in a while the feed store will get in some critters.
I like seeing the different critters however I always leave very frustrated and saddened by the lack of care I see in the big pet stores of today.
The dead or dying critters, the critters that are to crowded in the same cage. On and on I can go.
BUT people buy from these places so.....they will never go away.

I don't know if it's my FAVORITE, but i shop at PetSmart A LOT.
I'm there at least twice a week & the people there already know me by name, lol.
I like walking into any pet store to be honest. :) I enjoy the environment.

i dont like stores that sell puppies and kittens and also i dont like petland and petsmart cuz once i bought there a guinea pig and it died the other day

petland because the staff are really knowedgable and helpful and kind to the animals!

My favourite pet store is Care-A-Lot because the people love animals there and everyone there knows a lot about animals. I think pets mart is my least favourite because they are not as helpful and caring.

i like going to petco and petsmart. that is where i got my hamster. (petsmart) now she is dead :(
