A rainy day is a day in pastels, not grey, dreary, or depressing. Rain softens the appearance of everything in the world, and afterward, everything is clean, bright, and colorful.

depends on what kind of rain it is. I love the spring rains, they rrefresh and cleanse the air and make things grow, and I like to go walking in them. Also the warm summer rains, and I love the thunderstorms. Fall rains are usually not as much fun, cold and sometimes dreary, but a light fall rain can be pleasant. Winter rains, I dread. Too often they turn to ice, and that can be devastating, as we just had. And they are cold, and totally unpleasant, and definitely keep me indoors with a hot drink and a warm blanket. But rain is necessary, but for six inches of top soil and the fact that it rains, we could not exist on this world. I see rains as a mixed blessing for the world, not enough and too much can both be trouble.

I love the world when it rains. When the rain stops and the sun comes out, it's alway a bit of a disappointment to me. There's something so calming and soothing about rain. I love the rain and the dark clouds, the wind and the thunder.

I see the world as awesome.
I'm like Sheryl. I like the rain and a good light show.
I used to sit on my mother's screened porch, let the rain mist over me and watch the lighting walk about.
It's awesome, exciting and dramatic. Sunny days are great, but ... well you already know what I think of the rain.

I see I am not the only Pacific Northwesterner here. We have to see the world as beautiful because the rain makes everything here green. I don't have to wear sunglasses as much as I did in So. California. On a clear day in the winter, some of us don't know how to act.

Hey Wally, what have you done to yourself, with the new
Avatar. You're looking debonair, my boy! LOL
To answer your question tho, what I see when it rains?
Everything wet! I see a totally grey sky and a wet patio, and
wet patio table and umbrella. And that's about it.
I'll bet you were fishing for a sign I'd be saying something
about being depressed, aren't 'cha? But the truth is, rain does
not depress me. And never has. I grew up in the northwest
where we are known to have a bit of rain. LOL. You live with
it long enough, you get used to it.

When I was working out-doors I would see it as some power up there peeing on me. Now that I'm home most of the time, the sound of rain is comforting, especially at night. (Plus we have a drought now. No one mentions that the Army Corp of Engineers thought it would be a good idea to lower the level of Lake Okeechobee before the last hurricane season. I wonder if there's a connection.......HHHMMMMMM)

When I was living in La.,I loved the rain.I could smell the pines when they get wet.Now in Ca. it rarely rains here(the valley). When it does,it smells like wet compost or cow manure. We live by dairies and organic farming. So I miss the rain, the kind that lasts for 3 days.....Memories..thanks.
