The red lines are fragmented files on the disk. You need to defragment those to keep your system running smoothly.

If you are unsure about the health of the file system, please run CHKDSK/f first (google for instructions). It will scan for errors and fix them.

Then delete temporary and junk files with Ccleaner, so that you have atleast 15% free space for defragmentation.

Finally, defrag with a good defragmenter such as Diskeeper Pro (free trial versions available at their website). It runs circles around the windows defrault defragger. You can also do a boot-time defrag with it.

There's the defective clusters, with a diagonal red line down them ? Defrag leaves these guys right were they are, because they represent physically damaged parts of your drive. Relocating them would be like relocating a pothole.

This may not have anything to do with that trial program, it could be another set of data. Did you just delete the program or did you uninstall it? Sometimes if you just delete them, they all don't go away.
