"May contain traces of peanuts or other kind of nuts" on peanut butter jars....is there anyone that can't figure out that peanut butter has peanuts in it?

Yes BUT people r sooooo SUE HAPPY now a days that they do it just to cover their own butts! Like that guy who just sued McDonalds because he ordered his Quarter Pounder without cheese cuz he is allergic to cheese. Well he took a bite and ended up in hospital. Lets see- if Im deathly allergic to cheese Id definetely LOOK before i took a bite wouldnt u? But people sue over the dumbest things so they r only covering themselves.

Because some idiot was allergic to peanuts but thought that PEANUT BUTTER didn't have any real peanuts in it, just fake stuff that tasted like it. So they ate the peasnut butter, had a serious reaction, sued the company, and won millions.
And that's what is wrong with today's world.

because some people are super allergic to peanuts and alot of peanut butter has everything in it but peanuts

To make sure some genius who is deathly allergic to peanuts doesn't eat them. People were drinking dish soap because it had lemon juice in it.

it's an FDA policy- anything processed on equipment handling nuts or made with anything containing nuts must be clearly stated to the consumer.... that one is pretty onvious, but it's just the law

Alot of stuff is made from artificial ingredients for the people who cannot eat any kind of nuts....

hey some people need to have just a little more clue - it just don't click with them. it's a little annoying though!
it's like on the warning for my hair straightner "don't use while asleep". for them to put that on there, there had to of been someone that did that.
