I do not think there is "an answer" that will satisfy everyone ----you just need to find one that makes YOU content.
My background is in science, and my answer is:
A basic rule of science is that everything has a cause, is caused. Sometimes we don't know the cause of something, but science say it is/was still real.
I think our universe and world therefore has a cause, and that it is far above our ability to comprehend. Some people will label this cause "God" ------and even add a lot of details about this.
I don't agree, but it is a worthwhile concept if it makes people feel better about themselves and life -----and does no harm.
I like to go outside on a clear night and look up at the stars and acknowledge how awesome the universe is ------ and it does envoke some reverence in me. I feel fortunate to be a part of it ---- and think we can "tune into" this Power, without need to further define it.
So my answer is to believe whatever you are comfortable with.
