Doctors laugh at this too. My boyfriend is also afraid of having sex the closer we get to delivery. (I'm 34 weeks) There's way too much cushion down there for anything to hurt the baby. The only reason why doctors would be concerned is if the pregnancy was a high risk. Reason being, they don't want her to go into preterm labor. Orgasms cause contractions of the cervix & utuerus therefore, could cause induction. AGAIN- ONLY in high risks pregnancies is it cautioned. Hope this makes sense. Sex is perfectly safe and very normal all the way through pregnancy. Good luck & congratulations.

The baby is VERY well protected in the uterus. It won't even be able to tell you guys are having sex. You cannot possibly hurt or harm or touch the baby while having intercourse. I would say to stop around the 39th-40th week, as the baby's head is pretty low, almost in the birth canal. Anytime before that is fine, per doctor's advice, so have at it and satisfy your wife! She's carrying your child- you better do something for her!

Have sex with your wife! My husband and I are past the 9th month now and have had sex the entire pregnancy. Unless she is at risk for a complication, it is perfectly safe and even better than usual!!
Our bodies are built so that the baby is protected from penetration (unless she has been told otherwise by doc) and having sex will in no way hurt anyone. In fact, the rocking motion can actually put the baby to sleep!
It'll be ok, and you should try and enjoy yourself :) Thanks for being concerned and congrats!!

Watch the movie KNOCKED UP its super funny and the guy is going through the exact same thing. Listen to what the pregnant lady tells him cause its true. Im 7 months and me and my boyfriend does it all the time. You should try and see how your baby reacts. My son always starts moving for the next 20 minutes or so after.

it doesn't hurt the baby! try doggy style sex, it seems to be a little more comfortable with a larger belly. trust me, if she has an orgasm, the whole carrying a large belly infront of her will feel 10 times better. sex is great medicine!

Have sex. People have been doing it for years and you don't see anyone with dents in their heads now do you? The baby is protected by a very thick cervical mucosal plug that coats the inside of the cervix, plus it is surrounded by water and cannot be touched or hurt. Give your wife what she wants. i promise no harm will come to the baby.

Feel lucky she wants sex! Give it to her... you won't hurt the baby, the baby won't know it is happening, you won't poke the baby... Not to gross you out, but pregnant women are more prone to hemorrhoids, so anal sex will cause her more discomfort than having good old fashioned sex could ever do.

You can't hurt the baby so just have sex. If there was a risk to the baby the doctor would have her on pelvic rest. Until then it's fine.

As long as she is having a healthy pregnancy, you won't hurt her or the baby. Don't go too hard though, you could tear the cervix and bleed because of it. It happened to me, I went to the hospital and the doctor told me I was fine, just a small tear from too rough of sex.
It is FINE to have sex with her.
