I prefer the term transvaluation, although I guess they can be used interchangeably.

According to FWN, we went down the counter-intuitive path of weakness in the formulation of our western values. The roots of this tragedy can be traced back to Socrates. The transvaluation process is a revelation which puts mankind back in touch with the life affirming values which are correctly aligned with our nature.

Nietzsche claimed that every civilization has it`s own list of values, which affect our everyday life (that good is better than evil and other like that). He just want to revaluate them so they are better than previous one , and when continues in doing so , he learns that war is good for us, and other similar stupid ideas (sorry, I couldn`t help myself).
