Nope. Don't buy your boss a Christmas or holiday present. You could get him a token gift -- fresh nuts in a nice mug or something like that. Don't spend a lot of money or time on it. Bosses are NOT your friends, they are bosses. And I agree: they've got a lot more money than you do.

I've always done something or another for several co-workers and bosses here, but after so many years of un-appreciativeness, I've decided that that money could be better spent on the less fortunate who might actually appreciate it. Noone's getting anything this year from me, here at work.

If you like your boss, but don't feel the need of a present, you can always give him a nice card to wish him Merry Christmas.

A card and maybe a bottle of wine is the most common gift for bosses.

You don't have to give a gift to anyone if you don't want to. But if you're giving something to everyone else in the rest of your department it might be nice to include him as well. Gifts don't have to be expensive - one year a coworker gave all of us hot cocoa mix she made and had flavored in nice little glass jars, tied with ribbon. It was thoughtful and nice without breaking the bank.

My boss is nice but I'm broke so I'm going to bake her some cookies as a gift.

I think that a card is always a good way to go.

It says, hey I like you as my boss and I thought about giving you something. Your boss knows how much you make and a card would be appreciated I'm sure.

How close are you to your boss? If you end up feeling like you should buy them something, keep it simple, maybe something for their desk. I would stay away from anything expensive, or too personal.

nicely, i think of it extremely is an argument of private selection. It relies upon on the dating. etc. in case you opt to purchase them a token present, yet experience unusual providing one in simple terms from you, propose to co-workers you're able to opt to pitch in and get one blend present from each physique.
