Pettitte admitted to using HGH, although Clemens has denied it, it does appear that he too used HGH, adrenalin, and or other steroids. When this cheating was happening the Yankees had a staff member who was responsible for buying the drugs and sticking the needle into the buttocks of the guilty players. Should the Yankees be punished for allowing this to happen, and what should be there penalty?

The most famous (or should I say infamous) name in the report is Rodger Clemens and the most influential team of the steroids era was the Yankees thus this question. Also the Yankees won 3 and were in 6 of 8 world series at the peak of the steroid epidemic. Something tells me more than a deep pocket book helped them out for that run.

Hey Yankee douche....
HGH is a Performance Enhancing Drug. The use of HGH (as its name would suggest) enhances the growth of humans, including muscles, thus making players stronger and faster.
And as for Selig being associated with the Brewers, don't you think he might have mentioned something to them before the Brewers finalized a $10 million contract, just three days after Gagne's name with released in the report??? I think you are really fishing here trying to save face for your precious, cheating Yankees.

He came from Toronto with Clemens or at his request I am assuming . . . so . . . whatever that does for you.

So you are saying just punish the Yankees & no other team. Clemens came from Boston, so I guess it started for him in Boston huh? Mitchell Report was biased & bunch of BS & a waste of $$$. Half the players on list I never heard of. Where were the Boston players names? Conviently left out or what? All these accusations come from 2 people who worked for the New York ball clubs. What if the were from Boston, Chicago or K.C? Would there be more names on list than Yankees? Yankee haters will always have something to cry about until the end of time

No. The Yankees didn't "allow" anything to happen. They were unaware. Also, there is no proof any of this took place. Also, if you look at the dates of the 20+ "Yankees" who were named in the report 90% of them WERE NOT with the Yankees when they "alledgedly" used steroids or HGH. Finally, it should be noted that HGH is nothing like steroids and they don't even belong on the same sentence. HGH doesn't make you stronger and doesn't give you an unfair edge. It simply helps you heal... no difference than using Neosporin. I doubt anyone is going to get punished for using Neosporin. Furthermore, Neosporin is actually a DRUG. HGH is naturally made and stored in the body. It is NOT a drug.

Also, the only reason why so many players were former Yankees is because the Yankees go out and get the best players out there, and in the steroid era chances are that the best players are on them. So the Yanks are going to have been associated w/ more players than other teams by sheer payroll acquisitions. Lets not forget that Mitchell works for the Red Sox and Bush used to be an owner of the Texas Rangers, and Selig was a major owner of the Brewers and those 3 teams had proportionately fewer "alledged" users. There was obviously a bias here. That's not even counting the fact that the entire report is a farce. It's not even worth the paper it's printed on because no one was under oath when they gave the remarks, and they were being threatened by the feds. I'm sure 90% of everything contained in the report about players was all coerced by the Feds. Randomski simply gave up false info to get the Feds off his back.

I really think it's to late for all that, not unless they did a Barry Bonds and might get in trouble for lying to congress. I think what he is going through is like a sentence, he will be forever know or linked to this. I think men always act without thinking about what they do and find reason in it. Let see these guys man up, nope, tail between the legs. Well, at least Pettitte said he did. I am going to still watch baseball and just hope if there is anything that could come out of this is testing more often and that once a player is linked to this most embarrassing move, that it will teach them and other players from considering it.

Actually, It's the A's that is patient zero, not the Yankees. All the Yankee haters out there concentrated on all the players who were at one time Yankees. (even if they weren't using as a Yankee) The truth is that no team is guiltless in this scandal. The Mitchell report, in my opinion, was designed to see to it that all teams got a little blame so that no team can claim the moral high ground. All the teams will ether sink, or swim. So what happens to the Yankees, will happen to your team as well.

Why limit the scope of your question to the Yankees only? I agree with Ben. There are 2 types of fans in baseball, one that loves the Yankees and one that hates.

Read facts on when he used, who he was with. He is a product of the Redsox.

Why limit the scope of your question to the Yankees only? They're not the only team with players in the Mitchell report.

You Can bet the Yankees at all levels knew what was going on.. but hey.. more money in their pockets.

I do not agree with Mitchell.. I think heads should roll...jobs should disappear and the whole think should be cleaned up.
