He wasn't elected. The American people were duped into believing he was elected. Just like they were duped into believing that Iraq had something to do with 9-11 and like they were duped into believing that Bin Laden isn't really all that important afterall.

Until people take a total look at the truth there is no telling what else will occur. Things wouldn't be like this but only because the elitest wouldn't have had time to prime the puppet.

I think we would be far better off. The Twin Towers would still be standing, as a President Gore would probably not ignore a memo that declared Bin Laden was Determined to Attack in the U.S. And he wouldn't be obsessed with Iraq. He wouldn't be throwing money around like a drunken sailor, and those tax cuts for the rich never would have happened.

And while all politicians lie, at least Gore wouldn't be making a mockery of the Constitution.

I get the sense that Republicans view leadership as a "do what we say and everything will be okay. You need to trust me. You need to trust me. You neeeeeeed to truuuuussssst me. I know what's best for you, and I can't tell you everything because it will hurt us if you know too much." Democrats view leadershp as "okay, we can overcome this crisis, but we're going to need your help. I'll steer the ship, but I need you guys to help with course correction." Am I totally off here?

He was elected, whether you want to face it or not, and we would still be at war, because Al-Qaida was planning to carry out the 9/11 attacks before the 2000 Election, regardless of who won. As for Iraq, we'd still be enforcing the U.N. No-Fly Zones, Saddam Hussein would still be backing terrorism, and would continue to seek the WMD's he wanted.

Let's see. If President Bush hadn't been democratically elected (go ahead and look up the laws, and check the New York Times' study), in 2000 Gore probably would have damn near dismantled the military, leaving us defenseless. On a plus note, he wouldn't have had time to make a slideshow about global warming and market it as a documentary.

Oh, and we would have gone into Iraq sooner, as Bill Clinton signed the Iraqi Liberation bill in 1998. I believe that he set that up to be Al's big breakthrough on the Presidential stage. But, not as many people would be whining about it, because of the fact that a democrat put us there.

Sorry, your premise is wrong as Bush was elected. However, had Al Gore won his home state of Tennessee and won the election, the recession that was underway would have been worse as Gore's would have denied it until the US was just short of total economic collapse. To do otherwise would have admitted that he lied about the economy during his campaign. He would have raised taxes horrendously on every business and taxpayer. We probably would have had proof once and for all that you cannot tax your way out of a recession.

Good question. I wonder how popular the democrats would be.

I don't think America would be in Iraq. The deficit would not be as big.
.... basically just eliminate all of the bad things that have been done at the federal governmental level.

I mean even given the democrat does screw up a few times (which is inevitable), it would still not even skim the surface of an administration consistently shrouded in controversy.

What would America be without the extra money that tax payers spent on WMD? Better I bet.

The mental health crisis of this country would be greatly alleviated thanks to Tipper Gore's expertise with the subject.

Out of Iraq. And headed into a better economic future.
Less of everything bad, that you see on, and off
the news. More of good. Simple.
