Help with my outdoor icicle lights?

Question

I checked my icicle lights and they all worked. When I hung them on the house (I plugged in 3 strands like the box said I could) the end of each strand was not lit. Only a partial of each strand was burned out. How can fix or what am I doing wrong? My house looks like crap!

aare they the falling vaiety? Mess with the control box - they might be set not to move up and down.
