this keeps on popping up on my Yahoo Messenger, changes my status and involuntarily sends out group messages to my contacts, I have ran my anti virus, changed my password, and used different PCs/servers as well as ran an anti-spy ware, but to no avail, its still there.

As much as possible, I need to retain the same YM ID. Please help. Any suggestions, recommendations, better yet solutions?

This is the sh*t that's given me problems (please don't click on to it): ( i cant even understand what it means!!)

Your computer is infected with a virus or trojan horse or other malicious code. This is what you can do.

(1) Turn Off your System Restore as a virus or spyware program can hide there. To turn it off click Start then right-click My Computer then click Propeties and look for the tab labeled 'System Restore' and check the box 'Turn Off System Restore on All Drives.'

(2) Boot-up your computer in SAFE MODE. To do this turn on your computer and immediately after begin to press your F8 key, prior to Windows even loading, and then another menu will appear offering you to boot up in 'Safe Mode with Networking.' Select that.

(3) Open your IE browser and go to Trend Micro's free online virus, spyware and malware scanner and run a complete scan. It will remove anything bad on your computer. Go here and click on the scan button: http://housecall.trendmicro.com

(4) The scan might take an hour or more and after it's finished it will display what malicious programs it has found and then delete them for you. After, run the scan again.

(5) If you already don't have a good anti-virus; a good anti-spyware program and a good software firewall program, you need to have those. There are free ones out there. You can visit Comodo to get these programs here: http://www.comodo.com

Of course, there are other excellent free programs too. I personally run Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite as it was affordable and I can run it on up to 3 computers and it does everything.

After you run the Trend Micro Housecall, you will reboot and then you'll see that Safe Mode menu again before Windows starts and at that point you can select to boot-up in 'Normal' mode. But it's important you have your anti-virus and anti-spyware program, along with a software firewall installed.

I hope this gets you started.

Try some of these. This is a list I have compiled of what I feel are the best free-anti-spyware/anti-malware websites. When I use them together on my system it does an excellent job in keeping it clean.

You will need to install a virus and spyware program and run scans on your system (preferably in Safe Mode) to see if that removes the virus. A free antivirus program I use is called AVG Antivirus. They also have a free Spyware program as well.

The virus is from VietNam. Download the free version of Superantispyware. I use this software and it will find spyware and trojans that all other miss, without any conflict to your existing antivirus. Plus you will get auto. updates.
