with an oil change on a Mercedes, can slick 50 and roil be combined with engine oil?

There's no good reason to add anything to your oil. The Teflon in Slick 50 usually does not spread evenly and may cause problems with engine seals. The best thing to do is to de-sludge the engine and then use 100% synthetic all the time to continue to protect and clean your crankcase. Also, make sure that your PCV hoses are clean so that any oil vapors will escape and burn to prevent uneven crankcase pressures. If you like to "play" with engines, go to a Mercury boat store and buy a can of "Power Tune" Remove your valve cover(s) and spray the camshafts and valve components with this chemical. You can watch the sludge and varnish foam up and clean the mucky old oils off to prepare for the synthetic oil. Mobil makes an excellent 0W-40 oil that meets and exceeds MB requirements. Also. locate your timing chain tensioner piston, remove it's cover, and "Power Tune" the junk out of the spring assembly, to insure that it is receiving the maximum amount of oil pressure. Your owner's manual will tell you that engine oil additives of any kind are not recommended. What kind of Mercedes is this???????
