I honestly can't figure out why they do....no 5, or 4 inch heels for me, thanks very much. 3" is pushing it for me. High heels are not good at all for posture, which in my opinion is way more important to looking good, than a high heel. They may make a woman look taller but most likely she will have either back or foot pain. I work in retail and I've seen women with heels struggling to walk even one block!! They're not worth the risk of falling either. You can look cute and sexy with a lower heel or boots.

They'll all tell you because it's "sexy", or it looks good, but that's only the superficial reason . I'll tell you WHY it feels sexy to them...
1) In nature, primates mate from behind. Exposing the genital region is a powerful method of attracting a mate. In a very rudimentary way, high heels do a similar thing. If a woman leans over and puts her hands on the ground, wearing high heels will lift her butt higher, and cause her pelvis to rotate forward, more readily exposing her genitals. As humans, we don't walk on all fours anymore, but these vestigial memories remain, thus the "sexy" feeling.
2) High heels are unstable, and make it more difficult for a woman to run, thereby making her easier to catch and subdue.
So there you have it. Do you still want to wear those high heels ladies?

To look taller, slimmer, and because men think it's attractive. It also gives us a cute little hip wiggle when we walk. My man acts like he could care less how I dress, but I know he appreciates it when I dress in a sexy and feminine way, so I do it for him.

perhaps it is to make their feet look smaller.
while eating Chocolate does the same thing,
and is much more satisfying.
There is nothing wrong with a person, (man or woman) wanting to look good for someone else,,,,,,
I much prefer internal beauty, to the superficial one.
while superficial beauty might attract someone, it is the inner beauty that keeps them hanging around.

Like other people said, it makes your legs and general figure look better. And it's very empowering and confidence-boosting...providing you know how to walk in them. :)
