Well actually i think it depends...but im 18 and i just took my test this morning at 9:00 to work at our prison...it was easy too and i know i passed!!! oh and im in TEXAS!!

i think the age is 21. Now you may have to get fire arms training. I would think twice about working in a jail, that's not a fun job. Only good thing about it is you can retire in 20 years but still its wild in there.

Old enough to be able to grab your ankles........all joking aside, why would you even want to work in a prison....what a horrible job. I guess you just want to be with your own kind.....say-la-vie

depends if you are working to guard the inmates, or working to feed your fellow inmates in the mess hall. then age wouldn't matter if you take a look at all the juvie institutions
