If they don't want you delivering naturally and know this ahead of time I believe around 38 weeks so probably at the very end of March.

Well the normal in the states is usually 38-39 weeks for a scheduled c-section but I wouldn't say this is always the case. Different circumstances require a different way of scheduling. For example, if someone had a health issue like pre-eclampsia or their baby was having health issues they may scedule at 37 weeks. Also, a person with a very large baby may be scheduled at 37 weeks. One thing that I don't understand is why the dr told you the baby is not fully mature until 39 weeks. The baby is fully matured by 37 weeks.

It depends on the reason for your c-section. My doc and I wavered back and forth on when to schedule mine. He didn't want to schedule before 39 weeks, but I wanted it scheduled at 38 weeks so that my partner wouldn't have to take extra time off work (he would already be on mandatory vacation) and my kids wouldn't miss any school since they would be on winter break. Plus we have out of town family coming in and they will be gone by the time I'm 39 weeks. Anyways, he met me halfway and I am scheduled at 38w 5d. I think usually, 39 weeks is the rule of thumb.

The rule of thumb for repeat c-sections (or ones they know are going to have to happen) is "past 38 weeks, before 40 weeks".
Best of luck to you!!

I didn't think they would schedule it before your due date. My sister had a c-section and they didn't schedule it early. I think they scheduled it the week she was due. I guess it depends on why you are scheduling a c-section. You'll have to ask your doctor this one.

Usually you go in on or after your due date. Unless your baby is big. This is a question your doctor would know for sure.
