SO! it is wrong to have a ladies night using it as a marketing tool to attract more men to a night club?

I just get a little upset because it seems so trival. Compared to me being denied a job for being plus size or being denied treatment because I do not have enough insurance. I don't know him, I guess if he feels strongly about the issue.

I don't think it is discrimination. If it was truly discrimination, then the clubs/bars would be doing it regardless of the impact on their business. In this case, the business owners realize that to have a ladies night actually increases their business. So, it is in their best interests to have occasional nights where ladies get in cheaper.

To say that this is discrimination cheapens the word and minimizes the actual events that have occurred in the past to true victims of discrimination.

Also, for the person that is suing this club, he should be glad they have such nights. Where else could he find cheap, plentiful girls to date if they weren't attracted to just such a bar?

Some guy sued a carwash down here (SE Florida) several years ago because Tuesday's was Ladies Day, and women got special pricing on different detailing services and perhaps perfumy air freshers, or something lol. I don't remember the specifics but they no longer offer women any special incentives.

Charging different prices for the same service on the basis of gender is discrimination on the basis of gender, which is prohibited.

That is the case before the court to decide.

It is discrimination. I hope he wins. Thats blatant. And to say that you have been discriminated against more isnt a valid argument. If it is then you must hold the position that discrimination is ok. If you dont believe it is you ought to support that guy.
