Time to go buy an XP CD isn't it . . . Without it you cannot install XP.

If you don't have a CD for your windows and it was second hand did you get a certificate of authenticity? If you did you can borrow a disc and reinstall windows using your license for the installation.

If you don't have a CoA then you should contact who sold you the computer, provided it was sold to you with the understanding that windows would come with it. They should provide you at least with the license number to verify your installation.

Unfortunately if you didn't make any agreement and they used the copy of windows on something else then your copy is now illegal and you will need to purchase a new copy of XP to reinstall it.

You can obtain a copy of Win XP Pro OEM version for around $80 or so I believe from many on line merchants like newegg.com, tigerdirect.com & zipzoomfly.com to name a few. Don't be fooled by the Ebay installation and reinstall versions. You can buy from Ebay also but make sure it says it is a new with CoA copy of XP.

Good luck.

you need to use the CD from yet another dell yet you will could discover the motherboard drivers on your equipment. oftentimes, XP would have them for sound and all the different drivers mandatory on the disk. in case you're able to reinstall XP on your pc you're able to do a seek on google for "abode windows cd key reader" a software which will instruct you the main for all microsoft classes that requirer a key code. I even have executed this before with an old dell 486 which wasn't extremely worth fixing. i in simple terms ran the main software and used it to place in on yet another equipment. if the registration doen't artwork and you call the telephone selection to speak to a rep, in simple terms tell them it extremely is a reinstall and not the rest. they won't ask any questions approximately it being it incredibly is an analogous key used for an analogous equipment.
