Probably not. We seem to need them for practically everything we do these days. I just wish more of them were honest, and good at what they do.

I don't know about too many but their reputation is shot when The Boston Aquarium was sued in 2003 for giving free tickets during Shark week to Lawyers. PETA sued for defaming the Sharks. True story, look it up on Google.

Yes, it is too easy to sue and we depend too much on suing to solve our problems.

My attitude is simple: this is a private business and the state has no right to interfere. There is a legitimate business reason for doing this.

Absolutely not. We are not out there creating work. The work comes to us. Sadly, there are a few misguided lawyers (just as there are misguided people in other professions) who file frivolous lawsuits.

I wouldn't say that we have too many but we do have some that blatantly abuse the system to line their pockets. IMO, they come in second only to politicians.

Just one more thing for somebody to cry about... my all time favorite law suit was the woman who sued mcdonalds for not properly labelling her cup of coffee.... she was stupid enough not to assume that her coffee was hot and spilled it on her...
