not a very detailed question. do you have a court date for any of it? who does the child live with now? are you mom or dad? were you ever married? how old is the child? these are some of the things you need to mention when asking this question. whom ever the child is currently living with is the person that needs to file for child support it can be done separatly from custody or it can be filed together. when i filed for child support it was back in july 2007 and i did not get my judgement until dec. 2007 but the original date was feb. 2008. i filed for custody in oct. 2007 and my court date for mediation orientation is jan. 2008.

I don't know about the time, but unless you can prove the other parent is unfit, it is unlikely you will get full custody. The trend nowadays is for the courts to give preference to a shared custody arrangement, so that the child has adequate time with both parents. Barring abuse or criminal activity, this is in the best interest of the child. You should be trying to work out a shared custody arrangement with your ex even before it goes to court, for the sake of the child(ren).

Depends, on alot, you say full custody, well if the other parent is fight you on that, that takes time. If there is a divorce pending that's time, if not then testing will have to be done and that thats about 6 weeks and then income information has to be received by the court and then a hearing or two. Maybe 3 to 6 months.

Custody and child support are two separate issues. It all depends on the willingness of cooperation between the parents involved.

That will determine alot of things, such as who,s care is this child in now? & How long has this child been in the home? This is a question that is best answered by a attorney at law. Not us regular average people from Yahoo Answers
