so i'm on the birth control shot and i've been having unprotected sex a lot since.
i could possibly be about 2 mnths pregnant.
i've had a LOT of symptoms lately-
cramping, spotting, lower back pain, EXTREMELY sensitive smell, change in appetite, always feeling sick, etc.
although, i've taken 3 preg. tests and all were negative!!
im scheduled to go back on 12-19 to get my next birth control shot and i still dont know if i am or not.
if i am and i take the shot, it could hurt the baby.
what do i do?
help!

call your doctor, explain your symptoms and your situation and have them do a blood test. i know that with the shot it stops your period right? your doctor can determine your hcg levels by a blood test. get this done before getting the next shot.

good luck!!!

Birth control shot? If you mean "Depo Provera" (which is a shot that is administered every 3 months) then it is possible that your period has just stopped because of it. That is not uncommon. However, when you stop taking Depo Provera it will take awhile to get your period back (sometimes up to a year). Also, the symptoms you are having are very common for those who are on the shot. As always, it is best to consult your doctor. Hope this is helpful.

If you're on a birth control shot, chances are you're not pregnant. Probably just a reaction to the hormones in the shot...since you've had 3 negative tests.

I would to go the ob/gyn and get a blood test to see if you are in fact pregnant. The symptoms fit but when was the last time you got your period?? Definitly don't take the shot until you are 100% POSITIVE you are not pregnant.

Have the doctor give you a blood test before they give you the shot because if you are pregnant that will be bad for the baby.

I was having that shot for a long time and i always thought i was pregnant, its the hormones in the shot they give you all the symptoms of pregnancy. before you have your next shot tell your doctor/ nurse that you feel pregnant and they will check you out before giving you the shot again.
Good Luck

Call your doctor before you get the shot, and ask him/her to schedule you for a blood test to make sure.

Call ur Doc...but what the shot does is make your body think you are already pregnant so you dont have a period anyway...but i think you are ok.
