Can anyone name me some characters featured in sitcoms (they could just be guests) that are reasonably religious and whether they seem in touch or out of touch with the modern world.

For example, Bree in 'Desperate Housewives' is quite relgious and is portrayed as being out of touch with the modern world
thanks! x

Father Mulcahey (apologies if it's spelt incorrectly) from MASH - as in touch as the rest of them.
Turk/Nurse Roberts from scrubs - both in touch.

Edit: It's Turk more than Carla. There's a Xmas episode (in the first season, i think) where Turks faith is tested after he has to work Xmas eve in the ER with endless drunks, but ends with him finding Elliots runaway pregnant patient under a tree.
An example of Nurse Roberts' faith is when JD is talking to DR Cox about Danni moving in, she says something along the lines of; 'I had a man move in with me before i was married, his name was Jesus, hmm hm!'
