I am not sure that it would totally bring down the GOP as Bush and the neocons have done a pretty good job of destroying the party's credibility already. What little credibility they have left would not be affected by Huck. He would be laughed at and dismissed by much of the US and the world. The Democrats can only hope for someone that outrageous to be the GOP nominee because then they would be sure of a Democratic landslide both in Congress and the White House.

Huckabee is one of the most untruthful Republicans to date in this run for presidentcy. He lets rapists out of jail so they go and murder innocent people, he gets his son off the hook for hanging a dog when he was a camp counselor when he was 17, and he lied about his Theology degree. He's just as bad as Clinton was when he lied about not having sexual relations with Lewinsky (sp?).

but i will go you one further.

if american elects a republican, the world will lose all respect for the american people and stop loaning us money to finance our enormous debt.
