Probably not. It would be no different than having a blow up doll.

Oh, well if the Bible says it, then it must be strictly adhered to, no questions about it!
Since we're on the subject of Biblical commandments, I wanted to ask you a couple of questions. I'm interested in selling my youngest daughter into slavery as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. She's a Georgetown sophomore, speaks fluent Italian, and always clears the table when it was her turn. What would a good price for her be? While thinking about that, can I ask another? My boss, insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly says he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself or is it okay to call the police? Here's one that's really important, 'cause we've got a lot of sports fans in this country. Touching the skin of a dead pig makes us unclean as it says in Leviticus 11:7. If they promise to wear gloves, can the Washington Redskins still play football? Can Notre Dame? Can West Point? Does the whole town really have to be together to stone my brother, John, for planting different crops side by side? Can I burn my mother in a small family gathering for wearing garments made from two different threads?
Think about those questions, would you? One last thing, while you may be mistaking this country as a safe haven for ignorant overly-religious zealots hell-bent on condemning the rest of the country, we established this nation under the guideline of freedom of religion and separation of church and state. The moment we let the Commander in Chief start to tell wives how to submit to their husbands, we start to resemble the very nations we're working so hard to liberate and bring democracy to. Maybe Huckabee should start deciding to force them to wear a veil in public and stop driving cars.

Go look up Ephesians 5 next time when you get a chance you will find out that the wife is to submit to her husband.
AND
1. Both are to submit to each other
2. The husband is to be the head of the house like Christ is ahead of the Church.
Now think about this what did Christ do for the Church he nail himself to the cross and gave up His life for the church.
When he was walking on this Earth what did he also do wash his friends feet.
In Mary and Martha who did He say pick the better the one who cook or the one who was listening to His teachings?
I think that if couple would get their egos out of the way and not try to scramble to who was the top dog it would be better marriage.

I agree... provided the husband graciously submits back. Marriage does involve giving your all to your spouse, but it is a two-way street. Without equality and sharing in all things, including "submission," then a marriage is not a marriage- it is slavery. Sounds like Huckabee is a little bit old-fashioned for the modern political world. His view of the scripture is antiquated, at best.

It is a perfectly fine bit of theology the only key part of it is what Submission means. And the fact is most folks with modernism have a negative view of it

I think this is to be expected from a man that thinks the earth is 6,000 years old and dinosaur bones were put here by Satan to test the faith of evangelicals.

Heck no. We have much better candidates than him that is why the Dems are not bashing him, they want Huckabee as our candidate.
