I have 2gb of RAM. When I got my computer new it read that I had 1.87gb. This was fine. Now its even lower at about 1.72gb. Whats the deal?

No its not 1.87 processor. Im not an idiot. I did start then properties on my computer. Its 1.7ghz processor. And my comp isnt junk its 2 months old..

1.87 is 1.8ghz PROCESSOR
NOT 1.8gb ram.
Just yesterday, a girl also got these 2 confused.
I'm sure you have 2 gigs ram AND a 1.8ghz processor.

well, all OS (Windows prominently) uses a portion of the RAM that it reserves for system tasks, which therefore reads as if you have a lower ammount of RAM on your system

I think your Ram get some bad sectors.
Don't run on Ram with bad sectors

lolz, that means you have a messed up PC....
You should check to make sure everything is connected fine... Try and re-format your PC and check what's it at...
