I think as long as we have mentally unstable people in our world we will always be in danger, Why can't we round them all up and remove them from the Gene Pool

We have a snake in our Garden of Eden, Earth. There are enough Sociopaths and Psychopaths on this planet that we can never have the paradise that good people want.

Sociopaths and Psychopaths are extremely cunning, but criminally insane. There is no known mechanism in government or medicine to give them a conscience or to control them. They are among us everywhere and can't be detected, sort of like monsters that kill but can't be killed.

In those situations where everyone is muddy and bloody, so to speak, they always come out squeaky clean. They arrange things so that they always look good and win; and they have no conscience about how they do it.

New ones are born/nurtured every day. And a lot of it isn't genetic (though some is)

Plus, Hitler tried the whole "cleansing the gene pool thing" ethically.. it's just not the way to go.

We show more "humanity" by trying to help these people rather than remove them.. plus it's not like mentally ill people haven't done great things... some of the greatest artists and inventors were mentally ill (Sir Issac Newton and Benjamin Franklin both had lots of problems).

This is a hitleresque question.

Who determines who to remove from the gene pool? And who determines mentally unstable? There are some people with mental problems that are either brilliant or have something to contribute, or can recover from instabillity.

I submit these ideas to you Emperor Ming.

in the beginning I categorised you as a Nihilist. That replaced into an extremely grim interpretation of the international we are residing in. i detect it unnerving which you come across our society to be so pointless and doomed, as a results of fact there are a number of good human beings in this international, and this might desire to hold you some experience of wish. If it does not, you look under the impact that we are all doomed regardless. And assuming (you stated you're an Athiest) which you communicate loss of existence to be the unlucky, unavoidable and painful end for us all (ok, I agree that it fairly is unavoidable), it variety of feels to me which you do no longer supply a sh_t what occurs to you or any of something of the international till that element. yet while it is existence as all of us realize it, and there is not extra, then why don't you're making the perfect of it? i'm hoping you come across wish in that. good good fortune.

Who will define mentally unstable?

You know, Hitler had the same idea. He sent anyone who was mentally ill to the death camps. Thinking along these lines is a very dangerous thing to do.

Regardless, I suffer from serious depression- so does that mean I would be killed off? I'm not hurting anyone.

In an insane world, insanity is a perfectly sane reaction.
