Or should we try to fix the things that are not working, to make America the best?
Yes, there are some things I don't like right now.

My point is ,If you think things are wrong with America, and point them out, you are told you should just leave.
Is this your thought?

I absolutely do NOT believe that. It's the polar opposite of what America was founded on. America is supposed to be a nation "of the people, by the people, and for the people." If you see something you don't like, you speak up and change it for the better. I'd like to throttle the people I hear saying that you should shut up or leave. What country are they living in? I say that if they want to live in a country where you don't question the government, they should be the ones to leave and go to Russia circa 1980. See what they think about a country with no dissenting voices.

Simple people may believe this but it's a vague statement at best to not like America. Everyone will not be happy with the state of America all the time. That tells me that there is room for improvement. With increased knowledge comes greater responsibility and more complications. Our educational system is not perfect nor is it equal so everyone is going to have different levels of understanding of what is going on. Everyone is not going to receive the same kind of information. We all have different perspectives and beliefs. America is a complex place. We owe it to past generations and future generations to do our best to come up with a better system. We should not be complacent. That is a direct hit to all the men and women that have died for this country.
Edit: If the violence gets too great in American then I may leave as my relatives did from Lebanon. There may come a time when there isn't much you can do. Collectively, we must work together to make America what we want it to be. We must have one vision that we wholly believe in. Majority rules and everyone must come together. In other words, the losers need to be gracious.

Depends on what you are proposing to change. I think those who want to turn America into a Socialist State should leave,America was never intended to be a Socialist State. And if you want to live in one there are already options out there for you, like Venezuela, although you better hurry because that place is going to collapse inside a decade.
And to those who want to turn the US into a Theocracy I say they can go too!! So yes, sometimes the person should just be asked to leave,it depends on what they want to change.
We can all work together to try and "fix things",but unfortunately many times I hear people say that only to find out that what they want to do is something that flies in the face of everything America stands for.

The 33% that still support Bush and his failed presidency.
I am disappointed at how the country is being run and how divided everybody is but I, as a true American, will stay and fight to make a change for the better. That is what America is all about.

It's easy to leave. It's harder to stay and try to improve conditions for all. "Chi Guy" compared it to a marriage and I think that's a good analogy. If you love someone but you're in the middle of rough times the easiest thing to do is split. It's much more difficult, and in the end more beneficial to both, to try to find common ground and make the marriage (or country) work.

Sometimes there are more than one solution to a problem. The problem now is not the country but the government and leaving won't solve that problem.

Oh you can leave but the better answer is to work to elect those that represent Americans not corporation or religious entities. Start local and instill change.

Sounds the same as trivializing marriage "If you don't like your marriage, simply leave"
If this were true then every neo-con in the country should have fled during the Clinton years.
When neo-cons refund the $2 million for all of the sales and income taxes I've paid, I'll consider it. Also, I want back my 4 years of military service.

I love this country. I am not to thrilled with the politics. I will stay and do my part. The ones that say love it or leave it. Well that is just unintelligent.

Cowards flee.
How would it make you feel if foreign countries were tearing America apart from the inside out and you decided to flee?
