I guess I'm a little out of touch. I've heard someone at work use this word and I've read it here a few times now. What the hell is an emokid and why does it seem to carry a negative conotation?

Emo is a type of music. Emo standing for emotional it is a type of alternative rock that is emotionally charged.
Emo kids listen to this type of music and generally wear tight jeans and have hair in their face. There is a lot of dispute over what emo is and most emo kids will tell you emo is just a type of music not a style. They're generally sensitive about being called emo because it's often associated with cutters and depressed kids which is partially true.

Someone who dresses like an idiot!!! They actually wear women's jeans so they will fit tighter..........dumbest style ever!!
