Nothing is written on it. How do you format the disc?

I have this problem alot and it happens the most when I am using inexpensive CD disc. Try using another disc, also check your packaging for the CD disc and make sure they have been formatted. I find most are but you never know. If that doesn't work try inserting a disc you know works and seeing if your drive is working. If that is the case the first person who answered has explained how to do that so I will refrain from repeating. Good luck.

You have to format the CD then copy and paste on it just like you do on floppy. if your computer doesn't recognize the CD then some thing wrong with the CD drive.

Hi. The disk may have been written to already and would need to be erased/formatted. If this is not the problem then uninstall the CD-ROM in 'Control Panel', reboot, and let your computer find and install the drivers. Hope this works.

The CD might be bad. Also, did you format it first to accept files for data?
