Cell phones are a PLAGUE UPON THE EARTH.
As for teens, I guess it's just context - adults with cell phones are JUST as rude. Show up at plays, ballets, operas, lectures, special events, leave their cells set to ring, pull the things out and just go, now matter where.
I've had bumper stickers made: SHUT UP AND DRIVE ... people texting or talking on these devices while driving are the worst!
