"...without a drug test is this right?" - Yes. A drug test is not required by the constitution. The constitution sets the requirements for being elected president. If you feel strongly that there should be a drug test requirement, start with your congressmen and ask for a constitutional amendment.

Your question only shows your ignorance of relevant facts. If someone tries a drug are they a druggie? Are they no better than the habitual user? Are you so better-than-thou that you have nothing in your past - nothing you have ever done - that is bad or wrong or that can be construed as such? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Things such as this that were done many, many years ago are not important now. So what if Bush did some coke 25 years ago - is he still snorting? And so what if Obama (and Al Gore before him), smoked some weed a decade ago - is he still stoned? Completely irrelevant. In fact I would rather have a president who DID try some decadent things in his past so he can comment intelligently on them in the future. Based upon you observation, 80% of america is unfit for any elected post. Throw the babies out with the bathwater.

Obama shouldn't be subjected to a drug test because this information is based on things that happened when he was a teenager. What he did in the past should have no bearings on his ability to guide and lead our country...altho ourb current president should have had to take an apititude test before his @ss was sworn in...freakin idiot!

I don't recall Bush ever being subjected to a drug test, or is it only required of Democrats?

Didn't know it was a requirement for being a candidate. Usually, the ones we have to worry about, aren't admitting it.

Bush's drinking was more recent. Maybe we should give him a breathalyzer test, especially since he controls the nuclear launch codes.
